Okay, I have not been that good at doing posts. But I have been tweeting!! Okay no more excusses!!

So the coutertops turned out so GREAT. It really looks like a professional did it. Robert worked many, many hours. All the pictures are on Robert’s blog  at robert.whitakerfamily.org.

The Coasts was so much fun and really needed for my family.  The drive was good, but I did try to sell grandma in Pendleton but no one wanted her. The first stop was IKEA which was fun but next time I need a list.  The Portland Zoo was big. We got to visit with the Anderson’s. It was great to see their kids. They are getting so big. Camping by the beach, the waves at night were amazing.  Robert also has all the pictures on his blog robert.whitakerfamily.org. I have decided this will be a yearly thing. Maybe a house right on the beach with a couple families. I think it will be a great place to make new tradtions and many, many memories.

This summer  break was greatly needed. Less daycare kids and more big kid activites. Roaring Springs, Wahzoo’s, a couple trips to the lake, the zoo, being in a parade, Harry Potter movie marathon, swimming at Evan’s grandparents house or at Heathers, RN parties, and going out with friends. Just a lot of fun and very busy. The last couple weeks were stressful and really made me slow down and be thank ful for my family and friends, and how much I am greatful for Abbie and Robert… (R.I.P Robert Manwill)

So I am back to full kids, and Abbie starts school on Monday.  Abbie is going to be in 1 st grade.  WOW!!  I am really not sure when that happened. She is so excited to be going all day. Me, I am not sure what I am going to do during nap time, maybe start scrapbooking again or sewing. I am sure I will find something.

This is Robert’s last FULL ( I say that because I see more school in Robert’s future) semester and I have to say I really can’t wait. I need some normal. But the more I think about it, what is “normal?” Was it normal when Robert worked at Micron, yes for Abbie and me but not good for Robert. School for sure is not normal. Maybe we are going to start a NEW normal. I think it will be filled with Robert being home more (no more m-f 8-5), and be all about Abbie. Maybe some house improvements and of course bills getting payed off. I am very determened to get all bills payed off (except the house) within 6 -12 months so Robert can get a NEW car. I feel after all this stress of  leaving Micron, no job, school, UPS, school, work, school and  me,  he deserves a reward. I am so proud of him. It has been a rough road but I am really glad WE decided to do it. Life is short you need to have excitement in your lives or it gets boring.

Okay so here is my blog I should be good for another 6mos. right :-)  lol!!

I took Abbie to Artist for a Day to make a fruit bowl for Brandi. Little did I know that we would spend the whole afternoon there, even with my help. We served her breakfast in bed (thanks Jeramie!) and then gave her the gift.

Holy crap two post in less than a week. Don’t get use to it.  LOL

So we went to the zoo the Friday of spring break.  My friend Astrid, she did a great blog on it so check it out.   http://astridsrandomthoughts-astrid.blogspot.com

We went again on April 15.  The weather was saying rain then snow. I didn’t think we would be able to go. But Wednesday morning there was NO snow so we (Robert, grandma, and me) decided to go with K, E and T and a bus of about 60 kindergartner’s. It was a blast !!!   Plus it was Abbie first ride on a school bus!!

Robert and Grandma took the little  kids around the zoo early and got some cool info about some of the animals. Did you know some of animal where saved.  The Lions where in Colorado as pets.  The owners tited the lioness to old tires so she couldn’t move. so sad );    And did you know the Boise Zoo also saved the Hyena they where from Missouri Zoo and they just didn’t want them any more. Always lots for info from Robert.

I stayed with the group witch was nice for a change. Don’t get me wrong I love my daycare kids like they are mine. But I do miss not being able to be in Abbie’s class.  But I got to stay and see a snake (yuck) and touch a Hedgehog and a stick insect. It was fun to see the kids so excited to see the animals. After the touching of animals we waked around the zoo and the teacher told us some cool things about some  of the animals. Then we raced to the Giraffe but ended up at the Hyena’s. I can’t wait to go back again.

It finaly happened,  Febuary 17 2008 Abbie lost her first tooth. It took about 6months. Valentine’s weekend she went to McCall to visit my parents and it was about ready. I told her not to mess with it so when she got home we could get it  out.  We went to her school for a Kindergarten Math Party.  Astrid  Logan’s mom tryed,  I tryed . After eating Abbie’s friend Sophie, her mom Deanne got Abbie to come sit by her.  Abbie let her look in her month and Deanne just pulled that tooth right out!!( I guess with 6 kids you have some practice)  I think Abbie was in shock she really didn’t notice the blood.  We got home and had to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy. Stateing how hard she worked to get that tooth out. The Tooth Fairy left her 5 Gold Dollor Coins and stated in her letter to Abbie that the first tooth is special and she gives more for it.  Five days later she lost her second one.  She let me pull it out.  The Tooth Fairy left one Gold Dollar Coin.   It just showes you how fast she is growing…………

I know this is almost two months late but I don’t know how to add pictures.

It is amazing to me that it really doesn’t feel like it has been 6 years. I still remember when I tossed  Robert the pee stick and was thinking it was negative again!  And he looked at it and said “I think there is a light pink,” I grabbed it back.  Then the  tears came. It had happened…  we were pregnant!

There is so much that has happened the last 6 years… She is getting so big.  She is loving kindergarten. She is reading!!

We had a GREAT party at our new favorite place, Rafiki. She invited a couple of the kids from school, family and freinds they had fun running around and eating snacks and  cake.  I hoped to get a group picture but that didn’t happen. I got some when they all stopped to eat.

We got her 6year old pictures and family pictures.

Robert has them on the side of the blog under random pictures.

until next time
